We got a deep fryer, just like we really need to eat healthy. :) Well, it was too much potential fun to pass up - we tried bloomin' onions (hard to keep the blooms together & ended up with powder on the inside) & battered mushrooms (yum! perfect!) tonight. Jim wants to fry a pickle. I want to try sweet potato fries. Balthazar wants to live in the box.

Operation Day.

WELL... today is someone's day to get neutered. He got dropped off this morning & will get picked up tonight. The photos below are almost certainly completely unrelated. Ahem.
Poor Morgan, I mean talk about long-suffering. :)

Catzilla in Pollytown!

He likes the pollies. He likes to pounce on them, and smack them around with his paw, and pick them up and run off with one in his mouth. It would be terrifying, if you were a polly. :)

Death of Sticks!

Look at this bad cat! Look at what he did! :) This *was* a witch broom I made for halloween, but with great glee & efficiency, Balthazar killed it. He also knocked over my bouquet of dead black-eyed susans (of which only the black eyes were left & the susans had fallen off) and he spilled the red-dyed blood vase water all over the table, chair & floor. BAD Cat! :)

And here's some pics of the bad kitty getting a little rest after long, arduous days of breaking stuff. More catzilla photos coming soon. =)

Catzilla!

Catzilla!!!
Catzilla rests between polly pocket buildings, which Caitlin bought a big pile of to play with & resell some of. Caitlin has a little toy addiction problem. :)

Catzilla actually preferred the box the pollies came in to the toys themselves. He curled up for a nice nap after wreaking some havoc.

So Helpful!

Dan and Jen and Julia came to visit on monday night. Julia likes to get out the "pocky pollies" right away, and Balthazar was very helpful with the smallest pieces. He felt they were a danger to Julia so he'd better carry them somewhere else. :)

We watched the first half of the extended version of the first Lord of the Rings, and Julia declared she didn't like this new movie theatre effect because she couldn't see to play. So we gave her a little flashlight. So she shined it in all our eyes. The movie lost a little something in interruption, but it was a good time. :) Balthazar was pretty much the only cat we saw until they left, and we saw quite a bit of him.

Very Bad Cat!

This preceded a good squirt in the face with the trusty cat punisher. =)

Parents Visit

So the parents came up to visit on Saturday night after we got back from Uncle Patrick's birthday party (which we were pretty late for since it was lot further than we thought, something like almost 3 hours instead of 1 and a half like I expected) and Sunday we went to the South Hero apple festival which was really fun. It was in the middle of an orchard in S Hero on one long strip of road. the parking was free, the getting in was free, and there was fair food and apples and all that without dishing out the $20 you'd have to pay to even get into the regular fair for 2 people. It was cold but Mommy found a coat and a warm shirt too for $4. I found a lady with a whole table of earrings that used to be her Mom's - I swear all hideous 80s earrings, with a somewhat elephant safari theme running through about 20%. She must have had 300 pairs. Anyway, I bought $5 worth, they are sooo awesome you will laugh.

And how did Balthazar behave you ask?:

This dog food smells really good...

It IS good!

HA! I ran around the mattress under the blanket in Natalie's room until this big man caught me. I rubbed up against the plaster to try to blend in, but I only got some of me camouflaged. He's not letting me down probably because last time he put me down I bolted right back into Natalie's room. Let me go!

Mmmmm it's even better out of that dog's bowl!

At first I didn't go for this big dog that wants to play, but later I decided it was *fun* to smack his nose and watch him yelp.

Trouble

OK I haven't got time to update this blog much, but here's some gems:

1) Today kitty knocks over an entire shelf of plants & gets beaten. A few minutes later I called his name & he came *racing* up from the computer room & I distracted him with a dingly cat toy he's been knocking around the living room for half an hour.

2) Last night Jim heard him knocking over a water glass on the counter. He does that whenever there's a water glass on the counter. So Jim popped into the kitchen and used cat as sponge to wipe up the water spill. Balthazar was not too thrilled. Maybe he'll get the idea. =)
