Who is this mouse?

Mommy, what is this mouse? Didn't you read us a story about this mouse when we were little? He was on the paycheck envelope Scott sent me. :)

I can take 'em!

When the snow melts for a little while, the chickens wander out. They found the bird feeder detritus and got all excited. So did Balthazar. He'd never seen such cool "prey". Of course this is the kitty that batted and nipped at a great Dane.

He says "I can take that big one and his three biatches too!"

Whassup???

Natalie finally posted, yay! On the down side, it's all about how she hurt her back, *not* yay! It sucks she had to hurt yourself in order to post and thus get a bunch of awesome kitty pics. I have quite a backlog ready to go.

Oh and I've been miserably sick with coughing and sniffles and yech. :(
Happy Birthday to Kagan! (I sent him *two* presents :) )

Whatcha Doing with that Flashy Thing?

Hey! Natalie! Update!

OK Natalie, we have just upgraded our satellite modem & service. The jerks've been holding out on us, and (naturally) for a fee and a larger monthly payment, we can have a little tower that glows blue and, so far, seems to improve our upload speeds by a factor of 10. Ten. TEN times as fast on the upload. (Download is almost twice as fast.) SO, I can post more pictures, faster. However, YOU have not updated your blog in *ages*, and I've got to tell you I have some pretty awesome Balthazar photos that I'm holding back until you keep up your end of the bargain. Skank. :)

More pics

My computer crashed friday, so no posts for you. :) It kept turning itself off over and over so I gave up and waited for tech support to get home. Jim took it all apart, blew the dust out, reseated the graphics card and so far no problems.

Smoochies to Youcheese :)

Aww, look at the families in the Christmas time. :)
Is JimE cute, or what??? :)
Hey look, you can see Kagan's noggin in the TV by papa.

I learned something today.

Actually it was thurday. I got a ticket a week ago friday for my car not being inspected, so I set up an appointment for this friday and was to drop off my car thursday night so the car guys could inspect in on friday. Well, Jim & I agree to meet at the mechanic's so that he could give me a ride home, I go out to my car & it's stuck. I tried for several minutes to back it up, since the front tires were spinning, but I could not rock it, could not inch it left or right, nothing. I thought the brakes must have locked up from sitting. I had to give up & go page Jim so he'd stop waiting for me & come help unlock it.

Jim goes out and whacks at the brakes a little, but they don't seem to be locked. He gets out the jack and jacks up the left side and it lifts up and up and up and then with a *crack* the tire lifts from the ice. The right side ended up with one jack slipping sideways and another being required to get the first out, but we couldn't break the tire free, so with one out I got in and was able to move the car. We look and there are two almost perfect impressions of my treads, a good half inch deep.

MY CAR HAD FROZEN TO THE GROUND. Never had that happen before. :) I wonder if the guys on Car Talk would have figured that one out.

And here some pictures I found in my camera. Dork. :)

(Plus some I took :) )

Question For Ya

So what's the worse possible time the power can go out?

I called Jim (we still have phone most times when the power goes out) & he said "In the middle of an upload?" Wrong. Nevermind his other suggestion. ;)

Dave guessed "When you have a huge project due for a client that they've prepaid you for & you've already spent the money." OK that was worse, but not what happened.

Carla guessed in the winter, since she just had her furnace go out I can see that. But no.

Dan Scott guessed first try.

(I get bored with no power & start returning calls from months ago)

I'll tell you when it is, it's when you're in the shower, all soaped and shampooed up and the water dribbles away to nothing and realization dawns on you that there isn't going to be any more. Aaaargh!
I had to dry off all soapy and go downstairs to drain the last of the hot & cold water out of the empty water cooler & pour it into the cat-punishing-squirt-bottle & squirt the shampoo out of my hair over the bathroom sink.

OK and listen, do yesterday's photos look like repeats to anyone else, or is it Natalie's own fault for looking at all the photos on my hard drive over break?

Here are some Christmas photos :)

Alexe & Caesar.

If you look closely, you can see that about 50 pages have been turned since I snapped the first photo.

Baby blankets for us???

(Mommy: "_YOU_ made _these_???" :) )

How sweet!

What hairpiece?

Aww even Balthazar gets a scarf!

Not sure he loves it though.
